Their fiery fiddle driven tunes and songs are influenced by a vast span of traditional genres, including bluegrass, folk, Balkan, pop and acoustic music.

Aelfen was originally formed as a party band and played the closing slot after the headliners at Galtres Festival every year. The band has since played stages up and down the country in both formal concerts and crazy late night party slots.

Aelfen are always festival favourites and are often called best band of the weekend by their giddy audiences.
